The Indian Society for Assisted Reproduction (ISAR) was founded by Dr. Mahendra Parikh on February 16, 1991, with the vision of helping infertile couples and bringing joy into their lives. Recognizing the need for a dedicated platform for professionals and researchers in the field of assisted reproductive technologies (ART), Dr. Parikh convened a historic meeting in Mumbai.
Over the past 34 years, ISAR has grown significantly, boasting a membership of over 4110 members from across India. The society has been instrumental in advancing the field through the organization of 25 National Congresses, providing a platform for knowledge sharing and professional development.
ISAR embraces a multidisciplinary approach, encompassing a diverse range of professionals including IVF & ART Specialists, Gynaecologists, Embryologists, ART Technologists, Counselors, and other allied healthcare providers.
В 2018 году ISAR расширила свою деятельность, включив более широкий круг заинтересованных сторон: медицинский персонал, смежных ученых, организации, филантропов и учреждения. Такой расширенный подход способствует сотрудничеству и стимулирует инновации в таких областях, как контрацепция, эндокринология, менопауза, андрология, репродуктивная генетика, репродуктивная хирургия, психология и консультирование, терапия стволовыми клетками, сохранение фертильности и этические вопросы в ВРТ. Даже во время пандемии COVID-19 ISAR активно адаптировалась, организуя многочисленные онлайн-вебинары и конференции для обеспечения непрерывного обучения и распространения знаний в сообществе ВРТ.
ISAR Embryology 2023 was held at the Forum Convention Centre in Ahmedabad, Gujarat from November 3–5, 2023. The event featured the latest technologies and equipment for IVF.
